I landed in Germany in August 2009 after falling in love with a German while I was on vacation in Ireland, and have been here ever since. At first I loved it, then I hated it, then I sunk into a deep depression and hated it more, then I slowly, like a slug-slowly started learning German. Before I moved here I knew words like Aufwiedersehen and Gesundheit! I started liking Germany, then I started learning German at a Cheetah pace and now I'm fluent with plently of der, die, das mistakes, and I love it here. I've (we've) decided to stay in Germany long term. My Husband, Leo (the lucky German I snapped up in Ireland) is a student here and I'm currently in the middle of creating twins in my belly, and am ever so thankful that I don't have to work while I'm at it. We've been in Germany for 3 years now and are planning on raising our rapidly expanding family here for the time being.
I am at heart a crafty (not in the beasty boys sense) lady. I was playing with fimo clay in high school while the other kids were doing I don't know what, running around topless? My experience comes in handy because my husband is a diligent student at University here which is great for financially contributing to our future, but doesn't do a lot for our present, and I for one have lots of time on my hands. Lets see how often I remember to get out that camera and let you in on the diy going on over here in Riesling country.
